Asian Centre for Corporate Governance (ACCG)™, had launched a unique initiative Director's Power Breakfast Series in 2001, which proved to be a great success and was attended by nearly 100 high powered CMDs/CEOs & board level people, over 10 power breakfast meetings. The event really caught the imagination of Indian corporate world as also the attention of print as well as electronic media. It was well covered by CNBC TV Channel, Business India and Economic Times-Corporate Dossier.

Enthused by this success, we launched the Director's Power Breakfast Series-2002™. The power breakfast meetings were held at a fixed venue & on a fixed day, from 8.30 am to 9.45 am on 2nd Wednesday of every alternate month

Directors Power Breakfast Series 2002™ (DPBS), was inaugurated on 20th February, 2002, Mumbai by Dr. Jamshed  companies in it's

J. Irani - Director, Tata Sons. The Directors Power Breakfast Series has been launched by the "Asian Centre for Corporate Governance™ (ACCG) "To promote Global Corporate Governance principles of Transparency, Accountability & Equity". ACCG aims to become a "Catalytic Institution" to bring about qualitative improvements in the Corporate Governance 'Processes & Practices' of Asian Companies for optimising the shareholder's as well as stakeholder's value, in a balanced manner."

Director's Power Breakfast Series™ is an interactive boardroom experience sharing series for Directors. Important board issues and the challenges facing Indian boards were discussed at these DPBS meetings once every alternate month over breakfast, for the entire year 2002.

The inaugural lecture was on "How to make Corporate Governance work in Indian Corporate Culture" by Dr. Jamshed J. Irani, which was followed by a panel discussion on the same theme.
