The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 is the bankruptcy law of India which seeks to consolidate the existing framework by creating a single law for insolvency and bankruptcy. IBC is continually evolving since its introduction. This is single most piece of regulation which has changed the economic landscape for several stakeholders in a significant manner.
Asian Centre celebrated 19th Foundation Day over 81st Director Power Breakfast Meeting on 13th March 2019 at Mayfair Banquets, Worli, Mumbai. This meeting was organised at the most opportune time because regulations and jurisprudence are attempting to settle issues which the Code continues to throw up. The meeting will focus on how stakeholder value can be maximized; group insolvency; balancing multiple creditors interest against the backdrop of more power to operational creditors; cross border resolutions; the Government’s intent to introduce pre-packaged resolutions and IBC for promoting entrepreneurship etc.
Around fourty high powered chairmen, Directors, MDs/CEOs & CFOs of corporate India discussed and debated the theme ‘Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code- Emerging Trends in Resolution’. The Panel speakers were;
